As an Association, we hold together, in common bond, the people who have been associated with The Pasadena Playhouse, those who have received instruction from and/or been graduated from the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts, their families, and those who have or will work for the Pasadena Playhouse State Theatre of California, Inc.

Further, the purpose is to stimulate and encourage among the membership, an interest in the integrity and ideals of theatre education and related arts as exemplified by the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre Arts.

It shall also assist the individual's education through awarding scholarships to needy theatre arts students via the Henry and Joyce Sumid Scholarship Fund.

To further accommodate our non-profit status, we maintain archives and a library of theatre arts books, scripts, and other materials for education and research purposes for those interested in stage, film, and television.
